March and April 2010 played host to two of the most anticipated evenings in Waterford’s social calendar and Brass & Co. were both pleased and excited to announce their participation in both events!

On March 12th, Waterford Institute of Technology celebrated its landmark 40th Anniversary with a Black Tie Ball in aid of the South Eastern Cancer Society SOLAS centre.

On April 10th Mayor of Waterford, Cllr John Halligan, hosted the annual Mayor’s Ball. Proceeds from this ever-successful charity event went to the Society of St Vincent de Paul and Children’s Group Link. See highlights of the Mayor’s Ball here

Described as Limerick’s most glamorous and elegant annual charity and social event, The Saffron Ball was held at the newly renovated Thomond Park on Saturday 18th October 2008. Brass & Co. were on hand to provide the entertainment for the evening - entering the history books as the first band to play a live gig in the newly renovated Munster Stadium.

With its origins in the Show Band era, having been formed by 2 members of the legendary Royal Showband, Brass & Co. has evolved over the years into its present-day pick of contemporary musicians from across the top echelons of pop, jazz, classical and traditional Irish music.

Brass & Co. has successfully provided entertainment for weddings, dinner-dances, conferences, corporate and special events in Ireland for almost 30 years, during which the band has earned a reputation for exceptional musicianship, outstanding service and professionalism.

Linep-up and Music

The band has an exciting ten-member line-up of vocalists, keyboards, guitar, bass, drums and a full brass section, featuring 2 trumpets, 2 trombones and 2 saxophones. Our band features 6 lead vocalists that enable us to cover all styles of music. Our hot brass and driving rhythm sections promise to keep your guests on their feet all night long, from the first dance to the last encore. They will find our energy and enthusiasm contagious!
